On March 12, 2014, Deputy Shelton from the Rancho
Cucamonga Station received information regarding the whereabouts of Lorrian
McGuigan who was wanted for an outstanding burglary warrant. McGuigan was
recently released from the Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center for residential
burglary. Through investigation, Deputy Shelton learned that McGuigan was possibly
involved in additional burglaries and was staying at her father’s residence
located in Rancho Cucamonga.
Deputies Shelton and Mondry responded to the home
and located the suspect. She initially
failed to surrender herself after being ordered to do so. She was subsequently
arrested without further incident, transported and booked into the West Valley
While in the residence, Deputy Shelton observed
drug paraphernalia and a notebook that contained a business card from a victim
of a vehicle burglary in Chino Hills. After searching the residence, numerous items
suspected to be stolen property were recovered. Deputies were able to identify
another victim of a vehicle burglary in the city of Rancho Cucamonga.
The investigation is ongoing, detectives believe
that McGuigan may have committed up to fifteen residential and vehicle
burglaries in the Cities of Rancho Cucamonga, Upland and Chino Hills.
