INCIDENT:   Fugitive Arrest

 

LOCATION: 10000 Sante Fe Avenue East

 

SUSPECT: Todd Eric Dalton, 54

 

VICTIMS:  Withheld

 



Summary

On Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:57 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station apprehended fugitive Todd Eric Dalton. Deputies had received an anonymous tip that Dalton, who had a no bail felony warrant with international extradition, managed a business in the 10000 block of Sante Fe Avenue East. The suspect was wanted out of Riverside County for PC288.5 continued sexual abuse of a child under 14 and had evaded capture for 13 years.

 

At the Sante Fe Avenue East address, deputies contacted a white male adult, later identified as Dalton, who gave deputies a false name. Utilizing a mobile identification system, deputies were able compare fingerprints and instantly confirm his identity.

 

Todd Dalton was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for the Riverside County No Bail warrant with charges of  PC288.5, continued sexual abuse of a child under 14; PC288(a), lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14; PC289(a)(1), forcible acts of sexual penetration.

 

This is an ongoing effort by the Sheriff’s Department to protect the communities it serves.
