INCIDENT:   MAJOR INJURY TRAFFIC COLLISION MAIT INVESTIGATION

 

LOCATION:            CENTRAL ROAD/RAMONA AVENUE, APPLE VALLEY

 

INVOLDED PARTY: ADULT WHITE FEMALE 56YEARS OF AGE OF APPLE VALLEY- DRIVING A WHITE FORD ZXS   

 

INVOLVED PARTY: VICTOR VALLEY TRANSIT BUS- DRIVER AND FOUR ADULT PASSENGERS

 



Summary

On Monday, March 24th, 2014 at approximately 4:45 p.m., Deputies of the Apple Valley Police Station were dispatched to a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a bus.

 

Through investigation it was discovered the 56 year old female driver was travelling East on Ramona Avenue and failed to stop at a stop sign causing the vehicle to collide with a bus that was travelling South on Central Road. The female driver of the Ford was the sole occupant and was transported to Loma Linda Medical Center by Mercy Air with major injuries. The bus driver and two passengers were taken by ambulances to Desert Valley Hospital with unknown injuries. One passenger from the bus was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital with unknown injuries. A pregnant female passenger from the bus was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
