INCIDENT:             ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON ON A PEACE OFFICER

LOCATION:           22000 block of Grand Terrace Road, City of Grand Terrace

SUSPECT(S):         Dominic Thomas, age 27 a resident of Grand Terrace

VICTIM(S):             San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy



Summary

On June 11, 2014 at approximately 9:49 p.m.,  a deputy from the Central Station arrived at the Sycamores Mobile Home Park located in Grand Terrance to conduct foot patrol throughout the complex.  While walking through the complex,  the deputy made contact with a male subject, later identified as Dominic Thomas.  Thomas  attempted to flee from the deputy and a short foot pursuit ensued.  Thomas was immediately apprehended and began fighting with the deputy.  Thomas was found to be listed as an "Armed and Dangerous" Parolee at large.    Thomas was subsequently arrested, transported and booked into the  West Valley Detention Center for Assault on a Peace Officer, Possession of Heroin, a Parole Violation, and a $501,000 Possession of Narcotics Warrant.
