INCIDENT:    Residential Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property

 

LOCATION:   22000 Block of Raven Way, Grand Terrace

 

SUSPECT:    Joseph Clark, 34 year old male, a resident of Grand Terrace

 



Summary

On Tuesday, 060314, at 1523 hours, Deputy Ortiz responded to the 22565 Robin Way, in the city of Grand Terrace, reference a residential burglary.  

 

The victim stated between 050214 and 060314, an unknown suspect had burglarized her residence and had stolen electronic items from her residence.   During the investigation, Deputies received information that an ex-tenant named Joseph Clark possibly entered the residence with the house key that he never returned to the victim and stole her property.

 

On Wednesday, 060414, at 1443 hours, Deputies were dispatched to 22565 Raven Way, reference Joseph Clark was at the victim’s residence causing a disturbance.  Prior to Deputies arriving at the residence, Clark fled the victim’s residence and entered his residence at 22795 Raven Way.  Deputy Ortiz contacted Clark in front of his residence and Clark was in possession of stolen property from the victim’s residence. 

 

Deputy Salazar wrote a search warrant for 22795 Raven Way for additional stolen property.  During the service of the warrant, the victim’s property was recovered along with a .22 caliber rifle.  Clark was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

 

Deputies were able to identify and return the stolen property to the victim. 

 

Clark was arrested and booked into Central Detention Center and being held on $50,000 bail.
