INCIDENT:       DUI Traffic Collision with Injury


LOCATION:    27000 Block of Hibiscus Street, Highland


SUSPECT(S):   Kyle Norvick, age 20 of San Bernardino 


On Sunday, July 13, 2014 at approximately 11:33 p.m., , deputies from the Highland Station responded to reports of a traffic collision that had occurred in the 27000 block of Hibiscus St. The driver was identified as Kyle Norvick. Norvick displayed visual indicators of alcohol intoxication and was detained at the scene for DUI investigation.


During the collision one of the vehicle passengers sustained a substantial injury to her left ankle. She was treated at the scene and transported to Loma Linda Medical Center where it was determined she suffered a broken nose and a broken left ankle.


Norvick was found to be driving his vehicle while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to Central Detention Center and booked for CVC 23153(b) Felony DUI. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
