Incident:     Man sought by deputies for assault with a deadly weapon.

Location:     Colorado River

Suspect(s):  Rafael Paul Burshia, 26 years old, 6'04", 140, black hair(Mohawk), brown eyes

Victim(s):     Confidential


On the Thursday, July 3, 2014, 26-year-old Rafael Paul Burshia struck his wife's right arm and chest with a baseball bat. The victim ran from Burshia who chased after her while holding a large knife. The victim ran to her mother’s house for help and was contacted by the Fort Mohave Tribal Police Department. The victim was later transported to the Colorado River Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries. Burshia fled the scene and is considered armed and dangerous.

Burshia is described as a 6'04" Native American male weighing 140 lbs, with black hair cut like a Mohawk and brown eyes. He has the tattoo "Native Pride" on his chin and "Indian Honor" on his forehead.
