INCIDENT: Arrest of Subjects for Commercial Burglary

LOCATION: 44000 Block of Big Bear Boulevard, City of Big Bear Lake

SUSPECT(S): Anthony Baglietto, 24, resident of Big Bear City
Carreen Walsh, 38, resident of Big Bear City

VICTIM(S): 7-Eleven convienence stores


On Wednesday, July 23, 2014 the Big Bear Sheriff's Multiple Enforcement Team began an investigation into recurring commercial burglaries happening at two 7-Eleven locations on Big Bear Boulevard. Through the investigation deputies identified two suspects, Baglietto and Walsh, who live in the Big Bear area. While searching for the suspects on Wednesday, deputies located the female suspect, Carreen Walsh, at her residence.

The male suspect, Baglietto turned himself into the Big Bear Sheriff's Station the next day .

Investigators believe Baglietto and Walsh committed several burglaries at each of the convenience stores over a three week period.

On one occasion, Baglietto and Walsh entered the 7-Eleven at the 44000 Block of Big Bear Boulevard and Walsh distracted the clerk while Baglietto reached over the counter and stole several $20.00 Lottery scratcher tickets. On another occasion, Baglietto and Walsh entered the 7-Eleven at the 41000 Block of Big Bear Boulevard and both were seen on surveillance cameras taking money out of a charitable donation can located by the register.

Walsh was arrested and booked for Commercial Burglary; charges are pending with the San Bernardino District Attorney's office.

Baglietto was arrested and booked into the Big Bear Jail for Commercial Burglary. Baglietto has since posted bail and was released.
