On Thursday, January 30, 2014, at approximately 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to a stolen car investigation at San Manuel Casino. Information obtained during this investigation, along with the leads from recent robberies that occurred in Grand Terrace and the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino, helped investigators identify and locate wanted felons.
Detective Best wrote and executed three search warrants with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Division (SED). The warrants were successful with five subjects detained and questioned, one weapon seized, and other evidence related to the robberies was located. This investigation has solved one robbery in Grand Terrace that occurred at the Animal Clinic on January 15, 2014, and another robbery in the county area of San Bernardino at the Smokes and Accessories Shop that occurred on January 25, 2014.
The San Bernardino Police Department has numerous robbery and burglary cases related to these suspects, along with a shooting that occurred on January 21, 2014 at the Greyhound Bus Station. All of the suspects involved are career criminals and are affiliated gang members. The suspects are also on the early release program for prison re-alignment. San Bernardino Police Investigators and Central Sheriff’s Detectives are working together on these investigations.
