INCIDENT:              Strong Armed Robbery

SUSPECTS:            Daniel William Del Rosario, age 31

                                Julian Barichere, age 30


On Monday, February 3, 2014, deputies from the Chino Hills Police Department responded to the area of Los Serranos Road and Ethel Street in the City of Chino Hills.  Upon arrival, deputies made contact with victim who informed them he was had been involved in an argument with the suspects, Daniel Del Rosario and Julian Barichere, regarding his bicycle. During the argument, Del Rosario punched the victim in his neck and stole cigarettes from his pocket. After being assaulted, Barichere took the victim’s bicycle and both suspects fled the location. The victim sustained a reddish bruise to his neck as the result of being assaulted, but no medical aid was required.

Deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff’s Station responded to the location and conducted a search for the suspects. Through their investigation and subsequent search, Del Rosario and Barichere were located with the stolen bicycle and cigarettes. Barichere was also in possession of marijuana and a scale. Text messages on his cellular phone indicated he was selling marijuana. Both Del Rosario and Barichere were arrested for strong armed robbery, with Barichere also being booked for the possession of marijuana for sale. Del Rosario and Barichere were booked into the West Valley Detention Center. The victim’s bicycle was recovered and returned.
