INCIDENT:    PC 288a(b)(1): Oral Copulation with a Person Under 18

                        PC 289: Penetration by Foreign Object with a Person Under 18

                        PC 288.3(a): Contact or Communicate with a Minor to Commit Offense

                        PC 261.5(c): Unlawful Sexual Intercourse


LOCATION:   Butterfly Drive near Wildwood Canyon Road, Yucaipa


SUSPECT:    Sheila Heacock, a.k.a; Sheila Roostai, 44 year old female, resident of Yucaipa


VICTIM:          Male victim, age 16, resident of Yucaipa


On Wednesday, April 16, 2014 deputies from the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station received information of a possible inappropriate relationship between a 16 year old male student and Sheila Heacock, a teacher at Yucaipa High School.


On Thursday, April 17, 2014 detectives from the Crimes Against Children Detail, and personnel from the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station contacted the 16 year old male, who disclosed sexual abuse by Heacock. The abuse began in January 2014 and the last incident occurred in March 2014.  


Heacock was booked at the Central Detention Center and is being held on $100,000. bail. She is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday, April, 22, 2014 in San Bernardino Superior Court.


Heacock has been employed with the Yucaipa/Calimesa School District for 18 years.  She has been a Spanish teacher at Yucaipa High School for three years.
