Incident:                Recovery of Stolen Property

Location:              3000 block of Rockwood Road, Joshua Tree

Suspect(s):           Investigation ongoing

Victim(s):             JMJ Construction, Winchester, CA


During September of 2013, unknown suspect(s) stole a Bobcat auger attachment from a playground that was being built at the Yucca Valley Community Center.  Initial investigation into the matter led to no arrests and no suspect leads.


On Monday, April 07, 2014,  deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Rural Crimes Task Force, assisted by deputies from the Morongo Basin Station, searched a residence in the 3000 block of Rockwood Rd, Joshua Tree, after developing leads indicating that stolen heavy equipment was at the location.  During the search, deputies recovered the stolen Bobcat auger attachment, valued at approximately $2,000.  The recovered stolen property will be retrned to the victim.
