Loma Linda - Suspect Arrested for Attempt Murder

SUSPECT:       Joshua Williams, age 24 a resident of Riverside



Summary

On September 19, 2013, at about 10:22 p.m., Loma Linda Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a shooting in the 11200 block of San Juan Street in the City of Loma Linda. Deputies arrived at the apartment complex and found that the victim had just been shot in the stomach with a rifle.  The victim was transported to Loma Linda Hospital Emergency Room, where he remains hospitalized.  The suspect, Joshua Williams had fled the scene on foot.

 

Deputies conducted an area check for the suspect and the weapon used in the shooting. They were able to locate the rifle used in the shooting, but the suspect was able to avoid capture.

 

On Friday, September 20. 2013, the suspect, Joshua Williams, turned himself in to Loma Linda Hospital Security, who contacted the Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff’s Deputies responded and placed Williams under arrest for Attempted Murder. He remains in-custody in the Central Detention Center in lieu of one million dollar bail.
