Man Arrested for Armed Robbery of Autozone

September 27, 2013

Suspect(s):  EricColeman, 30-year-old resident of San Bernardino

Victim(s):  Autozone


On Friday, September 27, 2013, at approximately 9:00 P.M., the Highland Police Department received information of a armed robbery in progress at the AutoZone in the City of Highland.  Highland Deputies responded to the location.  The suspect who was identified as 30-year-old Eric Coleman entered the store and brandished a black handgun and demanded money. Employees were were able to provide a direction the suspect fled to responding deputies.  Sergeant Vic Moreno of the Central Patrol Station detained Coleman in the area north of Auto Zone.  Coleman was later arrested and the currency and other evidence was recovered in the area where Coleman was detained.


During the investigation it was determined Coleman may have been involved in an nine additional robberies in the City of San Bernardino.  San Bernardino Police are conducting an additional investigation to determine if Coleman is responsible.
