On Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at about 10:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Desert Dispatch Center received a call in reference to the discovery of bones in the 27000 block of Waalew Road, in the unincorporated area of Apple Valley. When Victor Valley Station Deputies arrived, they determined the bones were human and requested the assistance of the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2013, homicide detectives and coroner investigators, excavated the remains from the property. At this time the remains could not be identified by gender, ethnicity or age. An autopsy will be scheduled for further examination of the remains and the cause of death.
