Yucca Valley - Armed Robbery

DATE/TIME:          October 8, 2013/1:10 a.m.

LOCATION:           5500 block of SR62, Yucca Valley

VICTIM:                  711 Convenience Store

SUSPECTS:           Andrew Reviea, age 20 of Yucca Valley

                               Joseph A. Sharon (aka Kennedy), age 21 of Yucca Valley



Summary

On the above date and time, two suspects entered the 711 convenience store located in the 55000 block of SR62 in Yucca Valley.  Both suspects were disguised and wearing hoods over their faces.  One suspect was armed with pepper spray and a small steak knife.   Upon entering the store, the armed suspect deployed pepper spray in the direction of the clerk.  The second suspect jumped the counter and stole an assortment of cartons and packages of cigarettes.  The suspects fled from the location on foot and were last seen running southeast from the business.

 

Physical evidence located at the crime scene led deputies to an apartment complex in the 55000 block of Santa Fe Trail.  Deputies made contact with the suspects, Adrew Reviea and  Joseph Sharon (aka Kennedy).  Deputies searched the apartment and recovered weapons and evidence linking both suspects to the crime -all stolen property was recovered.

 

Reviea and Kennedy were booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $200,000.
