Summary

On October 2nd, 2013, at approximately 2:33 a.m., Deputies of the Apple Valley Station were dispatched to a report of vandalism in the 20000 block of Sholic Rd, Apple Valley.  The victim reported her ex-boyfriend, Aaron Smith, was pounding on the door and had shut off the power to her home. Smith fled prior to deputy’s arrival.  At the location, deputies discovered several thousand dollars worth of damage had been done to the victim’s current boyfriend’s vehicle.

At approximately 3:28 a.m., Deputy Crosswhite observed a vehicle matching the vehicle Smith was last seen driving.  Deputy Crosswhite attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, but Smith failed to yield and collided with a stop sign at the corner of Ottawa Rd. and Kiowa Rd., in the Town of Apple Valley.
