On Monday, November 18, 2013, Deputies from the Colorado River Station were called to the 1500 block of Highland Ave to investigate a residential burglary which occurred during the previous evening while the home owner and his family slept. Several computers and other household items were taken in the burglary.
During the evening hours of November 20, 2013, Deputies contacted Brereton Sherrill walking near the Needles Point Liquor store, on W. Broadway, during a vehicle burglary investigation. Sherrill was found to be in possession of the victim’s computer and other property from the burglary on Highland Ave.
Further investigation led to the service of a search warrant in the 1600 block of Collins St in Needles, on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Deputies contacted Charles Brown, at the home, and found him in possession of methamphetamine as well as additional property from the Highland Ave Burglary.
Property from two additional burglaries later reported in the 100 block of N. K St, in Needles, was also recovered at the Collins St. home.
Sherrill was booked at the Needles Jail for burglary, bail is set at $25,000.
Brown was booked at the Needles Jail for possession of stolen property, bail is set at $35,000.
