Incident:    Subject arrested for terrorist threats, residential burglary, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Location:    12000 block of Chief Joseph Road, Apple Valley

Suspect(s):    Manuel Agusto Contreras, 31-year-old resident of Apple Valley

Summary

On Thursday, November 7th, 2013 at approximately 4:50 pm, deputies of the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a report of a residential burglary. The victim, who resides in the 21000 block of Sioux Rd., came home to find his front door kicked open. 

 

 

At approximately 5:10 pm, the same victim was reportedly confronted by two males that were threatening the victim.  The victim reportedly struck the two males with an unknown wooden object in self defense.  The suspects fled the victim’s residence, but threatened to return with weapons.

 

 

The two males then returned to their residence in the 12000 block of Chief Joseph Road, Apple Valley. Deputies made contact with Manuel Agusto Contreras and another male at the residence.  Manuel Contreras was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was treated for his injuries, later released and arrested.  The other male was transported by air to Loma Linda University Hospital, treated for his injuries and later released.

 

 

Suspect Manuel Agusto Contreras was booked at Victor Valley Jail on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, terrorist threats, and burglary.

 

 

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station.  Additional charges or arrests may occur in reference to these crimes.
