  1. Coroner Case # 701502588
    On 03/28/2015, at approximately 12:42pm, an 18 year old male, was involved in a traffic collision on Highway 58 in Hinkley. The male was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another vehicle and the male was ejected. He was pronounced dead on scene at 1:01pm. The California Highway Patrol is also investigating the collision. Release of the decedent's name is pending confirmation of identification and notification of the legal next of kin.   2. Coroner case #701502581
    On Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 07:54 AM, the San Bernardino Police Department emergency dispatch received a 911 call stating that a male had been assaulted in a vacant field on the 300 block of Arrowhead Avenue, San Bernardino. Upon arrival, San Bernardino Police Department personnel found that Michael Anthony Darby Junior, a 48 year old transient in the City of San Bernardino, had been assaulted by an unknown assailant. Darby was transported to the Loma Linda University Medical Center by ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at 09:31 AM. The San Bernardino Police Department Homicide Division is also investigating the incident. [03282015 2100 JK]

    On Friday, March 27, 2015, at 11:23 AM, San Bernardino County Sheriff Department personnel were sent to the 15000 block of State Highway 173 in Hesperia, to investigate the report that a white male had been found in the Aqueduct by maintenance personnel. Upon arrival, San Bernardino County Sheriff personnel confirmed that the body of an approximate 50 year old white male had been found deceased in a collection point of the aqueduct. The body was removed from the aqueduct by San Bernardino County Sheriff and San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel. The name of the decedent is being withheld pending identification and family notification. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department, Hesperia Station is investigating the incident. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner Department will be performing an autopsy to determine the cause of death.  


  4. Coroner Case #701502521
    On Thursday, 03/26/2015 at approximately 1:55 AM, 28 year old Carlos Ceniceros, a resident of San Bernardino, was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of the Interstate 15 when he struck a northbound vehicle head-on about 1/4 mile north of the Dale Evans Parkway off ramp in Apple Valley. Ceniceros was transported by air to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronoucned dead at 4:24 AM.. Victorville Highway Patrol is investigating this collision. [03262015 1330 EM] 


  5. Coroner Case #701502513
    On 03/25/2015 at 3:49 PM, a 911 call was received reporting a traffic collision on interstate 15 about 20 miles north of Baker, CA. A 2009 Ford F-250 was traveling southbound on Interstate 15 when it came into contact with a 1997 Chevrolet Pickup, causing the driver of the Ford to lose control and slide into the center divider. The driver of the Ford was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver's name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The California Highway Patrol is also investigating the incident. UPDATE:  Name released on 3-26-15 at 1:35 PM--Wayne Edward Haverfield, age: 48 from las Vegas. 


  6. Coroner case #701502377
    On Friday, 3-20-15 at about 10:15 PM, John Hoang Dinh Vo, age: 22 from San Diego, was at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in Devore when he apparently suffered a possible seizure and went into cardiac arrest. Emergency personnel transported him to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead at 11:08 PM. An autopsy had been performed and the cause of death has been listed as Pending. [03262015 1733 EM] 


  7. Coroner Case #701502334
    On 03/19/2015 at approximately 9:12 AM, San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a deceased Hispanic male at mile marker 31 on State Highway 127 in Baker. Ernesto Ortega-Huerta, a 39 year-old resident of Baker, was pronounced dead on-scene and had upper body trauma present. San Bernardino Sheriff's Department Homicide is investigating.   8. Coroner case 701502394
     On Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 1:38 PM, a shooting was reported at a gas station in the 1000 block of W. Kendall Dr. in San Bernardino. Mark Anthony Garcia, a 27 year old resident of San Bernardino, was transported to St. Bernardine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 2:26 PM. San Bernardino Police Department Homicide Detail is investigating. [03222015 0445 SC] 


  9. Coroner Case # 701502286
    On Wednesday, 03/18/2015, at approximately 4:20 am, Jeffrey Loup, a 50 year-old resident of Hesperia, was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima southbound on Cajon Blvd. near Kendall Dr., in San Bernardino when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Loup was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. [03192015 1235] 


  10. Coroner Case #701502293
    On Wednesday, 03/18/2015, at approximately 0825 AM, Ivette Delgado Arauz, age: 32, of Rancho Cucamonga, was rear ended by a tow truck on the eastbound Interstate 10, west of Sierra Way in Fontana. Paramedics responded and was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP is investigating this traffic collision. [03192015 1235] 


  11. Coroner Case #701502257
    On Monday, March 16, 2015, at 8:06 PM, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Hesperia Station received several calls of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Main Street. Deputies arrived on scene to find an unidentified White female adult lying unresponsive in the westbound lane of 14400 block of Main Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identification is being withheld until next of kin is notified. The Hesperia Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the incident. [03172015 0645 JK] 


  12. Coroner case# 701502150
    Back on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 11:39 PM, a collision was reported on Reche Canyon Rd., approximately one mile south of the Riverside County border. A southbound Chrysler Sebring drifted into the northbound lane, and into the path of northbound dump truck. The driver of car, Steven Michael Pietropaolo, a 31 year old resident of Moreno Valley, was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead of his injuries in the emergency room at 12:31 PM. The collision is also under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. [03/15/15 2000 JK] 


  13. Coroner case# 701502180
    On 3-14-2015 at 12:32 AM, Christopher Derrell Apodaca, age: 37 from Yucaipa, was the front passenger in a 1990 Honda CRX traveling westbound on SR 38 west of Hillside Road in Mentone when the vehicle struck a brick divider and overturned multiple times. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. CHP is investigating the collision. 


  14. Coroner case #701502162
    On 3-12-15 at 8:50 PM, Edumenio Albert Martinez, age: 70, a resident of Hesperia, was driving a 2003 Lincoln Towncar westbound on Carob St. east of Ivy Street in Hesperia and collided head-on with an eastbound Ford F-250. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The Sab Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating the collision. [03132015 0830 EM] 


  15. Coroner case #701502164
    On 3-13-15 at 3:41 AM, Staci Elizabeth Calhoun, age: 31, a resident of Rialto, was driving a 2001 Dodge Stratus northbound on I-15 south of Glen Helen Parkway in Fontana when the vehicle left the right road edge and collided with a tree. Paramedics responded and pronounced her dead at the scene. CHP is investigating the collision. [03132015 0830 EM] 


  16. Coroner Case #701501729

    On 2-26-15 at 11:11 AM, emergency personnel responded to a residential fire in the 40000 block of Fox Farm Road in Big Bear Lake.  During a search of the residence, firefighters located Puangmanee Neatherlin, a 71 year old resident of Big Bear Lake, and removed her outside.  She was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.  The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department Bombs and Arson Division is investigating the incident.  [022715 1315]   

     


  17. Coroner case #701501740
    On 2-26-15 at 6:49 PM, Tammy Mae Seagraves, age: 43 from Chino Hills was driving a Saturn southbound on Carbon Canyon Road north of Canyon Hills road in Chino Hills and collided head on with a northbound Honda.  Paramedics transported her to Chino Valley Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 7:53 PM.  The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is investigating the collision.  [022715 1315]  


  18. Coroner case #701501714
    On 2-26-15 at 2:07 AM, John F. Sandusky, a 29 year old resident of Ontario, was riding a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Riverside Drive east of Haven Avenue in Ontario when he apparently lost control and was ejected.  Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene at 2:18 AM.  The Ontario Police Department is investigating the collision.  [022615 1220 EM] 


  19. Coroner Case #701501681 and 701501684
    On 02/24/2015 at approximately 6:48 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a traffic collision involving two pedestrians on Bear Valley Road west of Kiowa Road in Apple Valley. After paramedics arrived, Loretta Ann Delatorre, age: 59, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cary Gene Hughes, age: 56, was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:07 PM. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision. [02252015 1423 EM]
