Civil War Re-enactment at Calico Ghost Town
February 18-20, 2012
Union troops battle the Confederates in the hills of the Calico Mountain during the President's Day holiday in February.

Calico Days - Calico Ghost Town
October 5-7, 2012
Celebrating the rich history of California's Silver Rush Ghost Town events are held to commemorate Calico's mining past. A weekend of entertainment includes such festivities as a Miner's Triathlon and Burro Race. Calico Days takes place over the Columbus Day Holiday in early October

Dragon Boat Races
Held at Lake Gregory in mid-August, 32 teams of novice Dragon Boat racers square off on a 250-meter course to take the medal.
Professional Dragon Boat races are held the following day when teams compete on a 300-meter course.

Sand Sculpture Contest - Lake Gregory
Lake Gregory Regional Park holds a Sand Sculpture Contest the Sunday of Labor Day weekend in September. Prizes are awarded to the top three winners. |

Arts & Crafts Faire & Holiday Boat Lighting - Lake Gregory
The weekend following Thanksgiving Lake Gregory holds an Arts & Crafts Faire featuring gift items from artisans across the Southland. Santa is there for pictures with the children.
On Saturday evening the last weekend in November, the town lights the Christmas tree and area residents decorate the rowboats in holiday themes and lights and parade. |

Kickin' It Old School Kickball Tournament
Regional Parks encourages people to get active! We hold a double-elimination kickball tournament and "kick it up" with a theme dedicated to a decade in time.
In addition to the tournament other events around it are a dance contest and fashion contest for the best dressed for the theme.
