Code Enforcement cases can begin in a number of different ways. Typically, a complaint is called into the Code Enforcement by a County citizen. Complainants may remain anonymous or may leave a name and number so that they can be contacted in the future. Case progression can vary depending upon the nature of the violation or a number of other variables. The following is a general outline of case progression.
- A complaint is received by the Complaint Call Center.
- The property owner is then notified about the violation(s) that exist and is given a reasonable period of time in which to correct the violation(s).
- A follow up inspection is performed to verify that the violation(s) has been corrected.
