In order to address the staffing needs of County departments experiencing a strain on resources and/or increased workloads due to the COVID-19 emergency, we have developed a system in which County departments can request assistance and provide support to these affected areas.
For Departments: Department Emergency Staffing Requests
Departments who identify a need for temporary staff may submit a request for assistance, using the Emergency Staffing Request Form. Human Resources will review the emergency staffing request and identify re-deployable employees who possess the necessary qualifications to meet department temporary needs.
For Departments: Volunteering Staff Support
Departments will identify and volunteer employees within their workforce to be assigned to COVID-19 response initiatives. Please submit COVID-19 Response Team volunteers by clicking on the link below. Response Team Members will be contacted and scheduled in collaboration with their direct supervisors. For Employees: Re-deployment Applications
For employees in positions that have been identified by their departments for redeployment, employees will complete the SB County Employee Skills Questionnaire. Employees will go through a series of questions and provide information on skills, abilities, licenses, certifications, etc. The information entered will be used to determine where employees can be temporarily assigned throughout the county.
