CWN Overview

The County Women's Network (CWN) is an organization open to all employees of offices governed by the Board of Supervisors, SANBAG now the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), Local Agency Formation Commission for San Bernardino County (LAFCO), San Bernardino County Superior Court and Superintendent of Schools, and to everyone supporting the Network’s objectives.  The Board of Supervisors and the Chief Administrative Officer of the County of San Bernardino support organization's objectives.

CWN's objectives:

Foster personal as well as professional growth and development, and promotion of women, by using the CWN’s assets and resources for the benefit of the members.

Share knowledge and expertise by creating a mentoring and sponsoring environment.

Increase visibility of women in the workforce, promote awareness and equality in the workplace, and recognize accomplishments of members.

Provide opportunities to meet and exchange ideas and information, and to expand members’ knowledge of governmental procedures and functions.

The CWN has general meetings where you are invited to bring your lunch, generally on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. An invitation will be sent out via the County’s Postmaster and Members emails.  (Note: CWN General Meetings are dark for the Holiday Season - November & December)  Networking starts at 11:30 a.m. and the program is from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.  The meetings are educational and informative, consisting of a variety of speakers and topics, special events, and networking.   We need help getting the mentoring program up and running again, so it is currently dark. However,  available to the members are training days, boutiques (for selling and buying!) and networking.

General Meetings are free for members and $5 for non-members (starting in January of 2018). Membership dues are $35 per year. Ask your supervisor or fiscal group if your membership is reimbursable by the organization, as most of the time it is.  Applications and additional information are available on this website, or contact Kelly Graham, Director of Membership.
